|Day:||Friday, September 14, 2018 NOTE: this event has already happened, find current-year events on the Attend page.|
|Time:||4:00PM and 8:00PM|
|Location:||MOM's Organic Market
5273 Buckeystown Pike

Unfortunately, a rainy evening put a damper on this event and keep the number of people passing by down. However, we observed some interesting items that show the growth of electric vehicles. We had eight vehicles specifically arrive for the event. We also had about six or seven EVs just stop by either to charge or just go shopping at nearby stores. And lastly, we saw at least half a dozen EVs drive by during the four hours of this event.
All attendees and volunteers are required to wear face masks whenever they are within six feet of another person at all National Drive Electric Week 2022 events. Please see this information about how to improve how your mask protects you. For more information, see our in-person event safety requirements.
MOM's Organic Market is a location known for local, organic food and a 100% wind powered store. Now is your chance to check out Electric Vehicles (EVs) before you shop for groceries. Learn about the many benefits of EVs for your family, your pocketbook, and the environment. Talk to actual owner/advocates and ask them about their real world experience going electric.
We will be located in front of and beside the MOM's store near their EV chargers. The picture below is from a previous Drive Electric Week event at this location.
Note: The local Frederick Nissan dealer will have at least one 2018 Nissan Leaf at this event which will be available for ride and drives. Be sure to experience an EV for yourself!
