Event Report

Northwest Ohio's fifth annual Ride and Drive event was completed Saturday, September 08 with the help of many dedicated EV owners and event organizer Electric Auto Association of Northwest Ohio. The Town Center at Levis Commons once again served as beautiful and busy background for this year's event.

There were nineteen registered vehicles, and plenty of enthusiasm shared between the owners who proudly displayed their vehicles. All shared stories of their experience owning a plug-in vehicle.

Mother Nature had a lot of fun at this year's event. Although the forecast was sixty-eight degrees and no rain unit 7:00pm, she showed her humor by opening the clouds a little after 12:00 noon. Rain persisted throughout the remaining four hours of the event. EV owners and visitors huddled under umbrellas, under awnings, and took time to visit the shops and restaurants to hide from the raindrops.

Tentative plans are for the 2019 event at the same location, and serious discussion will soon commence regarding setup of a "circus tent" to offer shelter for next year.

Thanks to all who helped in so many ways, and those patrons who braved the rain to join us for the day.

Event Description

Here we are, just days remaining until the Ride and Drive event in Perrysburg, Ohio!  Are you registered as an attendee, EV owner or volunteer?   Please take a few minutes and register to attend or volunteer soon using the blue "Register" or "Volunteer" button at the top of this page.

My name is Michael Hall, president of Electric Auto Association of Northwest Ohio.  Join us for the 2018 National Drive Electric Week ride-and-drive event.  I am pleased to announce we will once again return to the beautiful Town Center at Levis Commons shopping complex in Perrysburg, Ohio.  We have secured the corner of Levis Commons Boulevard and Hollendbeck Drive the location for Saturday, September 8.  This is three blocks into the complex, entering from Dixie Highway.  On the right you will see Bar Louie restaurant; we will occupy Hollendbeck street to the right.   The weather forecast is mild temperatures, and small chance of rain.  There is no rain-date planned.....so it means the weather will be beautiful.

I encourage all to come early, shop, dine, and enjoy the surroundings; make it an enjoyable day-trip.  The Levis Commons shops have a lot to offer!  After shopping, settle in at our "Electric Avenue" parking lot to speak with owners of hybrid, plug-in, and all-electric vehicles.  Look, see, touch, and drive these amazing vehicles!

Speak with the owners to fully understand the reasons they chose to purchase these alternative-fuel vehicles.  There are no dealership salesmen, no pressure to buy or lease; just owners who can explain the benefits of "driving electric".

Please follow us through the "electricauto.org" website for pictures of our past events.  Please consider joining EAA and becoming associated with our Northwest Ohio chapter.  We value your membership and participation!

Are you planning to attend as a visitor and have questions?  Use the blue "Contact" button at the top of this page.  Looking forward to seeing you in September - just days away.  SEE YOU THERE!
