Event Report
Drive Electric Day-San Antonio 2018 was organized by the Alamo Area Clean Cities Coalition and was held at the Pearl Farmers Market in downtown San Antonio. About 300 attendees braved the drizzle to talk with enthusiastic and knowledgeable EV owners, view six different showcased EVs and ten ride-along EVs, and visit booths from the Alamo Area Clean Cities Coalition, the City of San Antonio's Office of Sustainability, and CPS Energy, the municipal energy utility company. The CEO of CPS Energy also attended and promoted the event on Twitter. Additionally, National Drive Electric Week 2018 was recognized by official resolutions from the Alamo Area Council of Governments and the City of San Antonio.
Event Description
RESCHEDULED - due to the forecasted rain, Drive Electric Day-San Antonio will be held on Saturday, September 22nd.
Drive Electric Day-San Antonio provides information on
electric vehicles (EVs) in a friendly and engaging environment; enjoy live music and
food vendors while test driving the coolest new electric cars. Hear from local
EV owners, speak to representatives from area dealerships about specific makes
and models, and meet other EV enthusiasts! Join AACOG and Clean Cities on
Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the historic Pearl Brewery’s Farmers Market
from 9 AM-1 PM, located at 312 Pearl Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78215.
