Event Report
The installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Big Sky, Montana is an excellent example of various organizations coming together to fund a project and work together to build a more sustainable transportation infrastructure in this beautiful mountain community.
Four organizations joined together with developers Lone MountainLand Company and the Big Sky Town Center polling efforts and resources together with grant funders the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities.
We are excited to have Big Sky on the National EV Map of charging stations!

Event Description
Join Lone Mountain Land Company, The Big Sky Real Estate Company, Big Sky’s Town Center and our partners from Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities and the Montana DEQ for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new installation and the growing infrastructure of Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment. Big Sky is now on the national EV charging map and welcomes electric vehicles of all types to charge at the two new universal charging stations, an important addition to the network of stations across the Greater Yellowstone Region. See zero-emission electric vehicles in action and learn more about their environmental benefits. This great example of the business community in Big Sky partnering with Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities to focus on ways to improve air quality and reduce harmful emissions from vehicles is made possible by EPA grant funding from Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities and the Montana DEQ along with financial contributions from Lone Mountain Land Company, The Big Sky Real Estate Company, Big Sky Town Center, and the Simkins family. National Drive Electric Week is presented by Plug In America, Sierra Club, and Electric Auto Association with Nissan LEAF® as the Exclusive Automotive Sponsor. After the ceremony, you are invited to join us for drinks and snacks from the Compass Cafe in The Big Sky Real Estate lobby to mingle with others and celebrate this environmental initiative in Big Sky.
