Event Description
Celebrate National Drive Electric Week, Bear Mountain
NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is organizing a clean/alternate fuel vehicle Ride and Drive at Bear Mountain State Park on September 13th from 10am-2pm. The event will be held in Parking Lot 2 near the carousel. REGISTRATION IS FREE! Vendors will have the chance to showcase their alternate/clean fuel vehicles to a variety of NYS agencies, municipalities, and the general public. Vendors can bring all the necessary materials for their display (tables, chairs, tents, power supply, etc.). There will be a test track on-site to allow visitors to test drive vehicles.
The Bear Mountain Car Cruise Show will be going on that same day, starting at 5pm. Over 800 antique and restored vehicles will be on display with over 1,000 patrons expected to be on hand for the event. Come test drive a clean fueled vehicle and stay for the Car Cruise later in the afternoon. We are expecting a large crowd so come early to see our clean fuel vehicles.
We have confirmed that a Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt will be at the event.
Register to bring your own electric car by clicking the blue button
at the top of this page. You'll also be entered to win a chance at a
$250 gift card! Even if you don't have an EV to show off, click the
register button to let us know you'll be coming.
