Event Report

We had the Mayor of the city of Richland, WA give a short introduction and kick-off speech. The event was attended by 25 people and there were 5 EVs present. The chapter president summarized the National Plug In Day event and showed pictures from previous year's events. Afterwards, he gave a presentation about EV charging, using pictures and the mathematics of L1, L2 and DCQC options. While the turnout was smaller than the August meeting, the event was still a success and was covered by the local newspaper and television stations. Two reporters were in attendance and several EV owners were interviewed. After the presentations, everyone moved outside and spent about 30 minutes asking/answering questions in front of the library next to the EVs. Finally, the remaining EV owners formed a short parade though downtown Richland.
