Event Report

Whole Foods hosted our event and we blocked off a section of their parking lot. A 20' x 40' tent provided shade for 10 vendors and community service groups (Sunrun Solar, Keep the Midlands Beautiful, ICE engine vs electric motor, National Association of Black Engineers, high school robotics team, event insurance provider, Whole Foods snack table, Nissan Leaf giveaways). Dealers that participated: Dick Dyer Volvo, Audi of Columbia, BMW of Columbia (main sponsor), McDaniels Porsche. Chevy was supposed to attend but declined even after contacting Megan at GM Corporate. Cars ranged from BMW i8 to Teslas to Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Tesla and Leaf owners provided test rides and drives. Weather was perfect!

Event Description

Part car show, Part science fair, Part tailgate party. 

Come to Columbia's Drive Electric Week Event September 9, 2017 at Whole Foods from 10am - 2pm.  

We'll have plug-in cars from BMW, Tesla, Chevrolet, Audi, Porsche, and many others.  Private car owners will share their experiences and show their cars.  Dealers will have brand new plug-ins available for your review!  Plus, community groups and Whole Foods Giving Grill will have lunch available.  Again this year, all proceeds from sponsorships and the Giving Grill will go to local charities, so come and join us for kid friendly community event.
