RHODE ISLAND DRIVE ELECTRIC DAY
As part of National Drive Electric Week, please join the Ocean State Clean Cities Coalition, Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER), and the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) members at the 3rd Annual Rhode Island Drive Electric Week event on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 11:00 - 2:00 PM. The event will highlight the advances made in electric and hybrid-electric vehicle technologies, the economic and environmental benefits of owning an electric vehicle, and the infrastructure that serves them throughout Rhode Island. The event will be hosted at Garden City Center across from the Newport Creamery and centered around the gazebo.
Registration is free and we strongly encourage plug-in electric vehicle drivers to attend!

Highlights of the day include:
Electric Vehicle Show: If you own an electric vehicle come park together, pop your hoods, share your EV experiences with others, and show off your car! Before you leave, you can get a charge at one of the two designated spots at Garden City Center.
Learning Sessions: Listen in as industry representatives discuss the new types of EVs available here in Rhode Island as well as the various types of charging infrastructure to support them!
Raffle & Giveaways: Stop by the table to enter a raffle for a Garden City Center gift card and pick up some free swag!
EV Showcase and Ride-and-Drive: Come check out the latest in electric vehicles! We will have a variety of electric vehicles and representatives from dealerships to escort you on test drives and answer your questions.
This is a Green Event!: The electricity used at this event as been matched with clean, New England wind power thanks to our collaboration with People's Power & Light.
