Event Report
This event was intended to be a small-scale event in a high traffic location on the University of Central Florida campus. Despite having no budget and only one person planning the event, it turned out to be a success! Individual Tesla owners brought their X and S models to the patio, which was the crowd favorite amongst passerbys. They voluntarily engaged with the crowd for the extent of the event, and were very knowledge on their cars and its history. Community partners, such as Florida Solar Energy Center and Central Florida Clean Cities Coalition, brought literature and more affordable EVs to display, such as the Volt and LEAF. It was great to have both sides of the EV spectrum on the patio. In addition, an engineering student brought his electric go-kart to display to students and informed them on how to get involved on making change on campus. We held out with the rain, and it was an overall fun, well-rounded event.
