Event Description
From 9 AM to noon, we will be adjacent to the Farmers' Market location on the north side of the intersection of Court and High Streets in downtown Portsmouth. At noon we will shift to the Cavalier Manor Recreation Center at 404 Viking St. and join the Cavalier Manor National Night Out Community Day until 3 PM.
For those of you coming to Portsmouth by way of Norfolk, I want to be sure you know that the westbound lanes (Norfolk to Portsmouth) of the Downtown Tunnel will be closed starting 8 PM Friday, September 27. Consequently, if you are bringing an electric vehicle, please use the Midtown Tunnel or the South Norfolk Jordan Bridge (see http://snjb.net/traveling-the-snjb/travel-fees-accounts for toll information). For those who don't have to drive here, the Elizabeth River Ferry provides a pleasant means of avoiding the Downtown Tunnel rerouting. (See http://gohrt.com/services/ferry for fare and schedule information.)
