Over 100 Discover Clean Fueled Vehicles at National Drive Electric Week Event in Pittsburgh

On October 4, 2024, Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities (PRCC) hosted its annual Odyssey Day event – a National Alternative Fuels Vehicle Day – in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week (NDEW). The event was held at the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) West Hills Center in Oakdale, PA.  Over 125 people attended the full-day celebration which inlcuded guest speaker presentations and panel discussions; an alternative fueled vehicle display with over 30 vehicles; a vendor fair; ice cream; and, more! Members of the Three Rivers Electric Vehicles Association (3REVA) volunteered several electric vehicles which were available for Ride-N-Drives. Some highlighted electric vehicles on display included the Hummer EV, the Chevy Silverado and Bolt, the Kia Niro and Ioniq 5, a Cadillac Lyriq, a Ford eTransit and MachE, an electric front loader, an electric school bus, UBCO eBikes and an ARCIMOTO FUV electric motorscooter. The CCAC site features an automotive high-bay for training maintenance technicians on electric vehicles and solar-powered EV-charging equipment.
