Event Report

Chugach celebrated an exciting milestone with the ribbon-cutting of its first DC Fast Charger, making on-the-go charging faster and more efficient than ever. This new station empowers Anchorage’s growing EV community, allowing drivers to charge in minutes and get back on the road. It also reinforces Chugach’s dedication to reducing emissions and advancing clean energy options across the region.

With EV adoption climbing 40% annually in Anchorage, this charger is a crucial addition to the city’s expanding network. Thanks to a valuable partnership with ReCharge Alaska, who will operate the station, this initiative brings more convenience and accessibility to EV drivers.

The event featured remarks from Chugach CEO Arthur Miller, Chugach Board Treasurer Rachel Morse, ReCharge Alaska’s Kris Hall, and Alaska State Senator Elvi Gray-Jackson. Guests enjoyed refreshments served from the "frunk" of Chugach’s newest fleet addition, the F-150 Lightning.
