Event Report
Our NDEW EV showcase during Community Safety Day at OWA was a success :)
We
had a total of 13 EV's on display (two were "drive ons") in two
locations at OWA last Saturday and the public was receptive. A BIG THANK YOU to our EV owners who came!
Based
on observations and conversations we had just under 200 folks check out
our electric vehicles and many asked questions and got real world
answers from real world EV drivers.
Of course, having Pascal and Chris bring their Cybertrucks certainly helped pull in some crowds!
Pascal
would routinely wow people with one of his many light shows, and Chris
and T.A.'s Cybertruck did double duty by powering our sound system and
the football games on TV!
I
thought Saturday night went fairly well. .....we had some inquiries about our car and EV experiences.
Biggest questions were about charging and range."
New attendee Johnathan's Tesla Model 3 had the coolest side mirrors I've seen!
Paul brought his Kia EV9
from Mississippi and said "...everyone is surprised by how cheap some
of the EV leases are. I mean folks are just absolutely unaware." And
Paul's son was excited to sit in a Cybertruck (Pic attached)
Wei Lun brought his Ocean One and said that "People were amazed how pretty the Fisker Ocean One looks."
Henry, who brought his Tesla Model 3 said "I
met one Fairhope couple who was very motivated to purchase an EV......
The wife was focused on the fear that if a hurricane forced
an evacuation they would not find a charging station ..... I
assured her that ..... she could easily get on her way before she
needed to charge and
they would easily find available chargers along the way."
Stay
tuned, we have at least one more EVent this year, we will be looking
for EV's to be "On Parade" at the Spanish Fort Christmas parade in mid
December.

Please join EV owners from across the Bay Area to gather in-person to showcase your electric vehicle! Your personal experience owning and driving an EV can answer many questions that potential owners have like range, maintenance costs, driving experience and more. Folks want to see and understand what all the EV hype is about!
OWA has invited the EV showcase in conjunction with Community Safety Day. There will be activities for the whole family!
