Event Report
Our NDEW event was a success. We had fine weather and good attendance from local EV owners, the public, and representatives from the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative. The County of Kauai representative (Christina Kaser) brought the County's Subaru Solterra. Local EV owners, including Kauai EV and Tesla Hawaii Club members) eagerly shared their EVs with visitors and encouraged interested them to check out the vehicles, and addressed questions about the vehicles, ownership, and charging.
We had the following EVs represented at the event:
Rivian R1S, Rivian R1T, Subaru Solterra, Tesla CyberTruck, Tesla Model 3, Chevy Bolt, Tesla Model Y, Kia Niro EV, e-bikes, and Ford Lightning EV
The CyberTruck and Rivians attracted many families to the event—several
visited because their children encouraged their parents to join. Several people found their way to our event after a service at a nearby church.
As a result of the event, we found new members for Kauai EV who have also volunteered to help plan the next event!

Event Description
This year's National Drive Electric Week (NDEW) event is approaching quickly!
Kauai EV (a Chapter of the Hawaii EV Association) will host another community event to celebrate the electric car and to help the public learn about the various benefits of the latest in transportation technology.
Our event is planned for the Koloa Library in Koloa. We are excited to be able to host this NDEW event!
