Event Report

A variety of Quadrini e-bikes, a Rivian, a Fisker Ocean, Chevy Bolts and the Town's hybrid ambulance drew a lot of attention. The interest and knowledge of the general public was greater than ever. There was an attitude of inevitability for attendees who were not already driving electric that their next vehicle will be electric. Folks expressed appreciation for the opportunity we were providing for them to learn from EV owners and to see and test drive EVs.

Attendees ranged in age and EV experience.  A mom returned with young Max. who was about 4 years old when he first attended one of our events and stunned the crowd by running around a Tesla Model 3 pointing out each of its cameras. He loved riding in a Lucid Air last year and this year his mom reported that he was allowed to decide which EV his family would purchase.

Event Description

Pioneer Valley Electric Auto Association will be at the Amherst Sustainability Festival on Saturday the 20th.

See a range of electric vehicles from e-bikes and the Smart For Two to medium and large EVs. Take a spin on a Quadrini e-bike or join Kaan from Balise Auto for a test drive of a 2024 KIA Niro EV Wind. Check out a Fisker Ocean EV.  Meet William Randolph from Boston Seaport and his colleague who will introduce you to Lucid Air EVs and let you drive one. Be sure to touch base with representatives from SunBugSolar to get information about charging an EV with the sun.

We will be sharing the Amherst Town Common with the Festival's many dozens of vendors and town employees with information about clean energy and environmentally friendly resources. Come enjoy art, fine music, activities for children and families, and the riches of Amherst's fantastic Farmers' Market. The fair will be free and open to the public.  Congratulations to Stephanie Ciccarello!

NOTE: EVs do not idle.  EV owners comply with the Massachusetts Anti-Idling Law without even trying.
