Event Report
Plug-In NCW would like to thank everyone who attended our First Annual EV Line-Up! We appreciate our local radio stations, KPQ AM and FM and KOZI, and the Wenatchee World and NCW Life for helping advertise our event to the public. We also would like to thank Rocky Reach Dam and our local Public Utility District for letting us meet at a very appropriate location: the park adjacent to the place where our county's electricity is generated.We counted twenty-eight all-electric and plug-in hybrids in the parking lot! People came from as far away as Moses Lake and Chelan to meet with other EV enthusiasts. Plug-In NCW members acknowledged the people who converted their gas-powered cars to electric before the first Nissan Leafs came out as well as the brand-new EV drivers who just picked up their new Chevy Bolt this week. The youngest EV owner attending was 19 years old, and the car with the most miles driven had 97,000 miles on its odometer. At the end of our stay, we lined up all our cars and gave the Nissan Leafs the honor of leading the pack. With all our cars in a line, we set a record for the most EVs in a row in Chelan County.

Event Description
In 2021, EV drivers in Quebec set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of 100% electric vehicles. A total of 733 electric cars lined up together, breaking the previous record of 402.
It is time to set some records in North Central Washington!
