Rocky Mountain Power Highlights Electrification's Future During National Drive Electric Week

Thanks to all who joined us at Rocky Mountain Power's EV and electrification showcase during National Drive Electric Week! More than 400 attendees got to experience the latest in electric cars, motorcycles, e-bikes, and clean-powered heavy machinery, showing off the latest in sustainable transportation.

SLC Mayor Erin Mendenhall and Rocky Mountain Power CEO Gary Hoogeveen shared remarks and a collective commitment to electrification and a sustainable future. Rocky Mountain Power remains at the forefront of the EV transition, while Mayor Mendenhall highlighted the crucial role of community collaboration in fostering a greener, more sustainable Salt Lake City.

We appreciated the enthusiastic fifth graders from Washington Elementary who got to experience hands-on learning with the USU ASPIRE Center and Breathe Utah.

Thanks to the major contributors who displayed their exciting electric solutions, including Wheeler Machinery, Lion Energy, Charged Cycleworks, Serial 1, Blue Planet Lawn, EV Auto, Mats for That, Salt Lake E-bikes, Salt Cycles, and Electrify America. Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky and Wattsmart introduced attendees to their sustainability initiatives, while Utah Power Credit Union provided insights into financial incentives for prospective EV buyers. Organizations like Utah's DEQ/DAQ, SLCO DAQ, and Breathe Utah reinforced the importance of electrification.

A big thank you from Rocky Mountain Power to everyone who participated!
