Event Report

The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC organized "EV in DC" on Sept 30, 2023.  Held within sight of the US Capitol, it had 31 registered vehicles, together with a brand new articulated electric Metro bus.

We interacted with a significant number of attendees to the nearby World Culture Festival.  We registered several drivers who were new to EV's and the local EV display community.

We distributed our famous EVADC Info Sheet, as well as literature from Sierra Club, Plug In America, Drive Electric USA and Public Citizen.

Our speakers consisted of

Scott Wilson, VP Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC

Dr. Quinta Warren, Associate Director of Sustainability Policy, Consumer Reports

Michael Litt, Clean Transportation Chair, Sierra Club DC Chapter

Sasha Tenenbaum, Senior Manager for Media and Public Engagement, Moms Clean Air Force

Thomas Bartholomew, Branch Chief for Renewable Energy and Clean Transportation, District of Columbia's Department of Energy and Environment

Rachel Healy, Director of Sustainability, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)
