Event Report

The South Lake Tahoe Electric Transportation forum had an ambitious and engaging forum with many Leaders participating from S. Lake Tahoe, Nevada and California.  Many policy leaders attended as well. Some students from the college walked thru as well as visitors from a local high school.
NV energy and Liberty electricity providers were key sponsors with 12 other sponsors including EVA and Eastern Sierra Electric Vehicles and Sacramento EV.
There was an electric school bus on display from Lake Tahoe Unified School District! However an Electric snow blower on display drew a lot of attention as well.
The All Wheel Showcase was a key part of this forum" I was told by Tom Polikalas, a  key planner and leader of the forum,
We were proud to be part of this exciting and important event. We had a grand successful day.

Event Description

The All Wheel Drive EV Showcase will be part of the Lake Tahoe Electric Transportation Forum.  We'll have information about California, Nevada and Federal EV incentives, charging infrastructure and costs, road trip histories, and more.

Electric Vehicles now account for 25% of vehicle sales, but are they ready for the mountains? Is there a significant number of all wheel drive EVs suitable for snow conditions? Will the batteries last in the cold?

Owners of several all wheel drive EVs will be on hand to show their all wheel drive EV and share their their electric driving experience. We'll have information about California, Nevada and Federal EV incentives, charging infrastructure and costs, road trip histories, and more.

We'll have a table set up by 8:00 AM, but the main showing will be at 10:15 AM.  If you're showing your EV and sharing your experience please arrive between 8:00 and 10:00 AM.

This EVent is hosted by the Sacramento Electric Vehicle Association, the Eastern Sierra Electric Vehicle Association and the Lake Tahoe Electric Transportation Forum

The Lake Tahoe Electric Transportation Forum will bring together local, regional, and national leaders who share a vision of making the Lake Tahoe Basin a world-renowned model of clean transportation. There’s an immense amount of work to do to achieve this goal, but there are new grants, tax credits, other financing opportunities, technologies, innovations, programs, and other resources that can amplify the excellent work already undertaken by the clean transportation stakeholders in the area. Key attendees include:
    • City, county, state, and other governmental entities that can take advantage of new federal grant opportunities for Electric Vehicle (EV) and other transportation infrastructure
    • Lake Tahoe businesses interested in learning about tax credits and other incentives to electrify fleets.
    • Clean transportation advocates
    • Elected officials and other policymakers
If you're interested in attending the forum, please register at Eventbrite
