Event Report
The Carrboro Plaza Drive Electric Week EVent is a low key affair each year. This one was again setup in the Carrboro Plaza shopping center near the two DC Fast Chargers setup by host PEMC. [They will enter a separate report.]Our TEVA of NC group is pleased to partner with PEMC and get about 1/2 of the EVs and Plug-in Hybrid EVs at the event. We brought some materials and table top demonstrations from an EVent at the NC Zoo earlier in the day.
A Rivian R1 etruck visited, as did a 1978 pickup truck conversion. The comparison of the two was striking! We also had a TEVA of NC member join us with her Organic Transit ELF enclosed 3 wheel ebike based Light EV.

TEVA of NC is partnering with Piedmont Electric Membership Coop (PEMC) on an EV educational display and hands-on activities at this year's Carrboro Plaza Drive Electric EVent.
TEVA of NC is partnering with Piedmont Electric Membership Coop (PEMC) on an EV educational display and hands-on activities at this year's Carrboro Plaza Drive Electric EVent.
This year we are featuring:
- Light EV Technologies and full size EVs
- An electric municipal bus
- Ribbon cutting for a new DC Fast Charging station at Carrboro Plaza
As in past year events at Carrboro Plaza, we will have opportunities at the event for experiencing different EVs and Light EVs, more details to be posted soon!
