Event Report
Drive Electric Cincinnati’s National
Drive Electric Week (NDEW) event went great with ideal weather! This was
our biggest event of the year with about 200 attendees. We gave a total
of 135 ride/drives with 22 EVs available for ride or test drive, reflecting
excellent turnout from private EV owners and local dealers alike. The Hummer EV,
Ford F-150 Lightning, Mercedes EQB/EQE and Tesla Model S Plaid were out on
rides or test drives most of the time. Many attendees took advantage of
the opportunity to try out more than one EV model, with one attendee test
driving six different EVs.
We had even more “EV Showcase” vehicles
available for people to climb in and out and chat with their owners to hear
first-hand about the EV ownership experience. We had nearly 50 EVs total,
spanning the price range from the beautiful Lucid Air to the affordable Chevy
Bolt EV.

talking with interested attendees on how to “drive on sunshine” using home
solar. Thanks also to Jorge’s Tacos for serving delicious tacos with all the fixings. And shout-out to host Jackson Johnstone for
above-and-beyond efforts to make the event a success and Eclipse itself for
providing a site perfect for a ride & drive event.
