Event Report
We had a two part event. The morning session gathered Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin with CEOs and executives from employers signing on to the DRIVE THE DREAM VERMONT initiative to provide employee workplace charging, EV incentives and/or use EVs in fleets. More information here:

The afternoon session was our main public event for NDEW and was the largest gathering of EV owners in Vermont to-date. We partnered with Vermont chapter of the Sierra Club to spread the word and had a great time.
Thanks to Plug-in America and the rest of the national team for continuing to support this program!

ALREADY OWN AN ELECTRIC CAR?
Put it on display at the event and network with other owners as part of the celebration. Click the "Register" button above and tell us which vehicle you will be bringing! A few things to keep in mind if you are planning to bring your EV:
- EV Charging - There is no EV charging available at VT Teddy Bear (yet). The closest charging available is approximately 3.5 miles away at The Automaster which has a CHAdeMO/SAE Combo DC Fast Charger at the Automaster Mini showroom (PlugShare link) as well as 3 standard Level 2 stations with J1772 plug connectors at the BMW/Mercedes showroom (PlugShare link). All of these stations will be available for public use on 9/16. In addition there are a number of charging locations in the greater Burlington area. Please keep an eye on your state of charge if you are offering rides or drives.
- Arrival Time - The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. If possible, please try to arrive by 3:45 p.m. to allow time for set-up and instructions. If you cannot arrive until later we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Rides / Drives - Getting people into EVs and behind the wheel is a great way to show today's EVs are fun and easy to drive. Talking with real owners and learning from their experience is proven to help shift people's attitudes and we are glad to be able to offer this option. Drive Electric Vermont and the event organizing partners will not assume liability or responsibility for test drives and/or rides. These rides are private relationships between the vehicle owners and the passengers, and any coverage or liability is the responsibility of the vehicle owner. Event attendees interested in experiencing an EV ride or drive will be required to sign a liability waiver and drivers will be required to provide a valid driver's license. EV owners are welcome to display their vehicles and not offer rides or drives if you have any concerns regarding liability. A suggested 3 mile route is shown below.
