Event Report
The Emerald Valley EVA, a Chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association, was the primary sponsor. We also had a number of other attending sponsors who brought their own information tests and presence including the City of Eugene, Eugene Water and Electric Board, Platt Auto of Portland (specializing in used EV sales and service), Go Forth, Cascadia Mobility, and Shift. The most unusual vehicle was a 1960s Karman Gia that had been retrofitted as an EV. That drew a lot of attention as did the many modern models of EVs that showed up with their owners for display. We think we answered a lot of questions and sold some EVs for some lucky dealers. We got good TV coverage after the event and an announcement before as well as newspaper and community bulletin board announcements.
Despite the rain, our attendance was good with lots of drop by as well as intended trip attendees. We will plan to use this venue again. If we are to continue to grow events like this, we will need to increase our volunteer base. The number of events we can do is limited by the number of active volunteers.

Event Description
EV display for the curious and Meet up for EV owners. Come and talk to our volunteers about electric vehicles, learn how they work, how much fun they are to drive and how inexpensive they are to own, operate, and maintain. We will not try to sell you on a particular make or model, but we will answer your questions and help you think through which EVs might work for you while you look at the EVs we own and drive every day. For EV owners, bring your cars, join the meet up and chat and maybe help someone who is hesitant and needs more information from someone whose livelihood does not depend on selling a car today. We should have some pickups and SUVs there as well as sedans.
