Event Report
What I was most excited about this year is that we had 12 car dealerships, 2 bike shops (i didn't count their test drives in the above form), and two outdoor equipment companies. The 12 dealerships brought a total of 14 vehicles to test drive and the outdoor equipment companies brought electric push and riding lawnmowers, 2 electric motorcycles, and a low-speed electric vehicle from GEM. The bike shops brought only e-bikes and the brought a range of regular bicycles as well as freight/cargo-carrying bicycles. The event as a whole was a huge success!Event Description
The City of Carmel in partnership with the Greater Indiana Clean
Cities, Hoosier Electric Vehicle Association, Carmel Green Initiative, AAA's My Pit Crew, St. Luke's United Methodist Church and
Knozone is excited to announce that as part of the National Drive Electric Week
we will be hosting an EV Ride and Drive on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 4
p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Indiana Design Center. Attendees can
test drive various electric-powered vehicles from cars to e-bikes and even
e-motorcycles. Plenty of EV owners will be displaying their vehicles and will be available for attendees to ask questions
about ownership, costs, and how to charge an EV. Additionally, there will be other
organizations with information related to electric vehicles, solar panels and heat pumps as well as live music.
