ENERGYUNITED HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL RIDE AND DRIVE EVENT TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL DRIVE ELECTRIC WEEK
STATESVILLE, N.C. – EnergyUnited hosted its second annual ride and drive electric vehicle (EV) event, Driving Change, on Saturday, September 23 at the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman.
Driving Change was organized by EnergyUnited in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week to share educational resources for prospective EV owners and to increase awareness of the unique experiences associated with EV ownership.
“As a local, not-for-profit electric cooperative, EnergyUnited is guided by seven cooperative principles. One of these important principles is Education, Training and Information.” said Elizabeth Gantt, corporate communications consultant for EnergyUnited. “This annual Driving Change EVent represents a clear demonstration of EnergyUnited’s position as a trusted educator, helping community members navigate a dynamic vehicle marketplace that is increasingly electric.”
15 EV owners registered for the event and were on-site to share their personal thoughts and experiences. In addition to these EV owners, many industry stakeholders and vendors also attended the event.
