Event Report
MOM's was kind enough to put out snacks and we just hung out chatting with folks in front of the story. I gave one test ride for a friend who has his own YouTube channel in #CO2Fre Nissan LEAF. The Signature Model S was beautiful as were the two Roadsters. We at one point had five Model S. Later, Del. Tom Rust stopped by and we told him about all the cars including one BMW i3 which just happened to be stopping by coincidentally.
photo by: Victor Rodriguez In the Left Corner you can see the trunk of a Signature Tesla Model S, and adjacent to that a powder-blue modified BMW Z3 which runs totally on Electricity. Pictured from left to are Del. Tom Davis Rust (VA-86), Bruce Lawton (owner and modifier of the Z3) and event captain Jeffrey C. Jacobs having a chuckle over how far the electric car has come. |
Event Description
This year we return to Herndon for an Electric Car rally with dealers and test drives to find out just what it's like to own an electric car.
And please welcome retiring State Delegate Tom Rust who will be stopping by at around 18:30 to say a few words and I hope we can all give him a word of thanks for his many fine years of public service as both mayor of Herndon and as State Delegate for the 86th district of Virginia. Rust has been a long-time supporter of EVs, being one of only a few STEM members of the general assembly (Rust graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering), and even sponsored legislation to waive parking fees for electric vehicles when parked for the purposes of charging.
So come on down to MOM's and enjoy some organic snacks thanks to MOM's Organic Market.
