Event Report
ManitobaEVfest was held at the Ikea parking lot.Two major displays were highlighted on the front walkway. Tesla towed a travel trailer. Porsche EV.
Several dealers came to the event, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi. The most popular EV was a Lightning pickup truck.
University of Manitoba attended, showing their new delivery van EV. They also provided info on their electric racing car design and build.
30 private vehicles were on display. A purple Mach-E was the most popular. Honorable mention goes to the 20ft pontoon boat with 50 hp electric conversion.
Although the day started with drizzle, by noon things dried out and people began milling about.

Event Description
IKEA is happy to host the 11th Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association festival, ManitobaEVfest in the large IKEA parking lot which fronts onto Sterling Lyon Parkway. There, we’ll have plenty of room to display many outstanding plugin vehicles, with excellent visibility along that very busy street. So, let’s tell all of Manitoba’s EV enthusiasts that, rain or shine, they are welcome to kick off National Drive Electric Week with us, at
