Event Description
Attend this second of two webinars on V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technology.
Is California ready for the influx of EVs?
- Electric vehicle manufacturers are introducing new electric versions of popular vehicles.
- Beginning in 2035, EVs will be the only new cars to be sold in California.
- The Inflation Reduction Act is promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
- The California grid is struggling to cope with unusually high heat.
Will electric vehicles be a blessing or a curse to the grid? What role can EVs play in our energy future?
Part 2 will focus on what key California agencies are doing to overcome the regulatory and technological barriers to widespread implementation of V2X. Representatives from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and Ford Motors will discuss what they are currently doing to advance this effort and how individuals, businesses, and government entities can and must play a role.
