Event ReportUnfortunately, this event was cancelled due to rain.
This special event is designed to educate, inspire, entertain, and engage the town of Windsor and neighboring communities about zero waste, sustainable living and to support our group’s efforts to shift Windsor’s dependency off fossil fuels by the year 2033. The fair will showcase exhibits on composting, native/invasive plants, recycling, local & sustainably made products, as well as vendors for energy efficiency, solar, heat pumps, electric vehicles and more. Family fun for all ages including face painting, music, raffles and games.
We want our community to learn that sustainability is a way of life that is attainable for all. There are a number of ways you can participate and we'd love to hear from you to talk about how you can get involved.
About Windsor Climate Action:
Windsor Climate Action raises awareness of the effects of climate change and helps find solutions to mitigate the impact on the town of Windsor. Our group activities include: community outreach & education, working with speakers who are experts in their field to provide residents with accurate information about climate change, and joining with other organizations to promote practical solutions to town officials and residents.

About Global Environmental Action Coalition:
The Global Environmental Sustainability Action Coalition is a grassroots group of current and former CCSU students, administrators, and faculty, committed to providing cross-disciplinary information and solutions on how to live our lives in a way that is sustainable and in harmony with nature. Founded initially as the CCSU Climate Action Coalition in 2007, we have since expanded our scope to the larger issue of environmental sustainability. In 2008, we held our inaugural Global Sustainability and Climate Change Symposium in support of Focus the Nation. At this three day event, more than 1,000 people, including college faculty & students, K-12 school students and teachers, community members, non-governmental organizations, and federal and state governmental officials attended.
