Event Report
On September 29, 2022, the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) in partnership with Oxnard Downtowners hosted the Oxnard EV showcase at the Oxnard Plaza Park Farmers’ Market to promote the clean-air benefits and cost-savings provided by driving an electric vehicle. The showcase featured a variety of EVs to learn about, including affordable sedans and SUV’s. Vehicle owners enthusiastically spoke with curious event attendees and eased their concerns regarding vehicle range, cost, and charging logistics. Regional partners like the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District (APCD), Santa Barbara Community Environmental Council (CEC-SB), and Clean Power Alliance (CPA) supported bilingual education and outreach with their own information booths. EV-related promotional and educational materials were distributed to the public by VCREA and partners at no cost. The Farmer’s Market showcase was a fantastic opportunity to promote EVs in the Spanish-speaking community, where many individuals were unaware of affordable EVs and the rebates and incentives available to them.

VCREA presents...Electric Vehicle Show
at Downtown Oxnard Farmers' Market
Are you thinking about buying an electric vehicle (EV) but feel like you don’t have enough information to decide? The Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) invites you to join us and local EV drivers at Plaza Park Farmers' Market for an electric vehicle show.
You'll get a chance to have all your EV-related questions answered and meet real EV owners many of whom have years of EV experience. Learn about stacking rebates and incentives to get the best deal on your EV purchase, and how to get a car charger installed at your home or business. Spin the wheel for a chance to win cool prizes like gift certificates, stickers, water canteens, pizza, and more!
