National Drive Electric Week
Drive Electric Day at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market
Oct 02, 2022
|Sunday, October 2, 2022 NOTE: this event has already happened, find current-year events on the Attend page.
|9:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT
|Downtown Yakima Farmers Market
22 S 3rd Street
Yakima, WA 98901
Event ReportThe event itself was small in comparison to prior year pre-COVID; however, we did have one our local EV groups come out and set up an area where they ride their individual EV and allow others to try. Plus, there was one person who brought their electric road bike out as well. I was approached by a Pacific Power rep who showed interest for next year, and met an Engineer who creates the computer software for Ford.
Please join the Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY) at their Downtown Yakima Farmers Market (DYFM) on Sunday, October 2nd for Drive Electric Day! DAY is excited to bring this event back after COVID and hoping to have you there to show off your EV vehicles and toys to the general public during the farmers market as we had done in 2019. We also hope to have the an area in the market open for folks to ride around on their unicycles and other electric items, with the ability for others try them if you are open sharing the experience.
Those who register will be sent an email a week prior to the event with instructions for set up of your vehicles. Set up at the DYFM will be between 8am-8:45am. DYFM is open from 9am to 1pm on 3rd Street in front of the Capitol Theatre. We will wait 10-15 minutes for the general public to disperse before you can leave the premises.
We are very much looking forward to having you!
