Event Report

The 2022 Juneau EV & Ebike Roundup was our 9th annual event and this year included Ebikes and Electric outboard motors.  Juneau continues to grow as a leading EV community. The Juneau Electric Vehicle Association provided NDEW, Plug in America and 2023 EV Tax information.  AEL&P, our local utility provided home electric charger information, the City and Borough of Juneau provided electric bus and public charger information, and Renewable Juneau provided heat pump and charger information. Other vendors Cycle Alaska and the Juneau Bike Doctor provided Ebike offerings and test rides and Tongass Rain provided a display and viewing of electric outboard motors.

The event was attended by Sen. Jesse Kiehl, Assembly Member Wade Bryson and Congressional Candidate, Nick Begich who all spoke on the importance of electric vehicles in our community and and our community and nation's future. A CBJ proclamation was read commemorating the City of Juneau's participation in National Drive Electric Week.

Our Local IBEW 1547 cooked and served cheeseburgers and hot dogs provided by our local sponsors of Juneau Hydropower, Tongass Rain, Affordable Auto Sales, and Mendenhall Auto.
