Event Report
Hattiesburg Drive Electric Week took place at PetSmart (parking lot) in Hattiesburg by the Tesla SuperChargers. The event was in coordination with EV Mississippi, PetSmart and the Hub City Humane Society. Clear Channel Radio was onsite, as well as WDAM news. Tesla had a model Y onsite, Ford brought a Mach-E, and Chevrolet brought a Bolt for showing and test drives. A static car show was on display and EV owners were on hand to discuss personal experiences and share stories. The Hub City Humane had an adopt a pet event and 19 animals found new, loving homes.Event Description
National Drive Electric Week is a newly launched nationwide event designed to raise awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles. Our goal is to help our community learn more about the benefits of electric and hybrid vehicles. National Drive Electric Week is organized nationally by Plug In America, the Electric Auto Association, and the Sierra Club. This outdoor Hattiesburg event is co-sponsored with Petsmart and the Hub City Humane Society.
