Event Report
The City and Borough of Juneau provided an NDEW Juneau Proclamation by Assembly Member Michelle Hale. Juneau had a severe storm the night before the event, but we had some sun for EV round up. We would like to acknowledge our sponsors: Juneau District Heating for the use of their lot, IBEW 1547 for cooking packaged foods, Renewable Juneau, Tongass Rain, Org350 Juneau, Bellevue Nissan, Mendenhall Auto, Fishbone Auto, Juneau Economic Development Council for use of tents and supplies, The City and Borough of Juneau, Commission on Sustainability and Juneau Hydropower for purchasing food, drink and advertising.
This year we had many Teslas, Bolts and Leafs and a brand new Volvo Recharge. After sharing of EV information, having some great food that was sealed and served in biodegradable clam shell containers, all EV's lined up for a small road rally through downtown Juneau and neighboring Douglas Alaska.
The Juneau Empire ran an article covering the event. The Leafs of Autumn

photo by: Duff Mitchell After a severe storm the night before the event that knocked out Juneau's power with 70 knot winds...all thought we might need to cancel the event due to weather. However, the storm blew through and as we started a rainbow appeared over the Juneau EV round up. |
