Event Report

The EV show at West Windsor Farmers Market is now a tradition, receiving lots of support from the West Windsor Township council. Many of the council members including the Mayor Marathe already drive electric. The Mayor made a Proclamation that was presented during the event by Councilwoman Mandel. Four other Council members were present at the event as well. The outline of the event was very well planned to maximize our exposure to Farmers Market visitors who were passing by our field as they entered the market. At the same time, we have been able to maintain social distancing very effectively, while everyone was wearing face covering. We had 17 EVs, a very good number for the pandemic, and despite substantial no shows.
We were joined by Audi of Princeton that showed brand new Audi e-Tron Sportback. One of the participants, Herve Fontaine, he is a Youtuber, arrived with modified Tesla Model 3. His vehicle has nice red wrap, spoiler and adjustable air suspension. Ben Paraan showed rare electric motorcycle BMW C Evolution. Mike Hornsby from NJ Board of Public Utilities volunteered as well, showing his early Tesla Model S with record sized frunk. Tim Lee arrived with rare Mercedes Benz B-Class ED.

Event Description

We are excited to join West Windsor weekly Farmer's Market on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020. This is a tradition in the town that is excited about EVs. The EV show will be located on the upper parking lot, which is used as an entrance to the Farmers Market from Alexander Road. Exit is via Vaughn Road.

Farmers Market customers are invited to check the EV display before they reach the market area at the lower parking lot. We shall designate parking for EVs, spaced out properly. Face covering mandatory, wipes will be available. You may arrive late / leave early.

From the Farmers Market site:

As a community gathering place, a destination for foodies and a home to good food and seasonal produce, the WWCFM continues to grow and create a vibrant, welcoming place for West Windsor residents and those from surrounding communities. The range of items offered by our farmers includes organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables; locally grown oats; alpaca and llama fiber products; grass-fed beef, pastured pork, lamb, poultry, and eggs; artisan cheese and yogurt; savory and sweet pies; cut flowers; honey; mushrooms; cider; bedding plants, and hanging baskets.

Enjoy breakfast or brunch selections including sweet and savory crepes or pork roll/egg sandwiches featuring local farm fresh products,  cold pressed juices, acai bowls, and coffee (prepared food is currently offered to-go only).
