In recognition of National Drive Electric Week (September 15-21, 2014), Drive Electric Cars New England will hold an Electric Ride and Drive event on Saturday, September 20, 2014. This event will serve to highlight the advances made in plug in electric and plug in hybrid vehicle technologies, as well as in the infrastructure that serves to support electric driving in Storrs, CT, and beyond. Representatives from DECNE and others will be available to attest to the benefits of electrics for the environment, for decreasing dependence on foreign oil, and for our wallets. The event will feature electric cars and other electric vehicles, EV experts, live entertainment, and refreshments.

If you own an electric car or other electric vehicle come park together, pop your hoods, share your electric experiences with others, and show off your car!

Come check out the latest in electric vehicles! The Nissan LEAF, Chevy Volt, and other electric vehicles and representatives from dealerships will be onsite to escort you on test drives and answer  your questions.

At the end of the event all drivers of electrics are encouraged to join in our Electric Concourse – cars will exit the parking lot in a procession and will make a small loop around Storrs-Mansfield and UCONN before heading home.
