Event ReportWe had a friendly, laid-back electric vehicle event, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the green hills around Kauai's Waimea Canyon. Some folks came to buy delicious cold treats from the strategically located Pineapples in Paradise food truck and then stayed to learn about electric vehicles. Others saw the two wide opened Teslas from the highway and stopped to check them out. And then there were those who came with a purpose, like the lady who just totaled her Prius and wondered about a replacement or the one who wanted to know when the VW BUZZ would be available. Several thanked us for the low-key conversations and helpful information.
All attendees and volunteers are required to wear face masks whenever they are within six feet of another person at all National Drive Electric Week 2022 events. Please see this information about how to improve how your mask protects you. For more information, see our in-person event safety requirements.Kauai's first electric car event on the Westside, on the way to Waimea Canyon and Kokee, will provide a variety of electric vehicles to look at, sit in, and hopefully drive. Join us for our inaugural National Drive Electric Week event in Waimea!
