The approx 750 people who visited us saw Plug-In EVs with a total of about 250,000 or 1/4 Million Electric Miles driven!
Many thanks as well to the following organizations who brought educational materials, tents, water, and above all expertise to help us explain "why drive electric?" to about 750 PepperFest NC festival-goers!
UPDATE Sept 17th 2019: The area for Plug-In vehicles assigned to us at PepperFest is full. Please do register to attend or help share your expertise!
Part of Abundance NC’s mission began with renewable energy education. This year, we are adding a feature to PepperFest: a Drive Electric Week Meetup with the help of Triad Electric Vehicle Association and the Chatham County Climate Committee.
Volunteers will be bringing a wide variety of electric vehicles (EVs) along with EV experts so you can explore what it is really like to own a Plug-In EV! Bring your questions on costs, environmental benefit, and financial incentives for becoming part of the world wide transition away from fossil fuel powered transportation.
The 2019 Drive Electric Meetup will be located in the parking lot northwest of the Chatham County courthouse, near the music and toy store.
There are currently 41 attendees registered.
