The purpose of the NDEW Western Massachusetts Hilltown Electric Car Show is to celebrate the commitment to sustainable transportation demonstrated by residents of the hilltowns and to provide information about electric vehicles.
At 1:00 PM, the NDEW WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS HILLTOWN ELECTRIC CAR SHOW will begin at Charlemont Park & Ride at 24 Mohawk Trail in Charlemont, MA (Route 2 – look for signs).
EV owners will share their perspectives on driving electric and their strategies for charging at home, at work and on the road. Representatives from state and regional agencies will share information about purchasing and owning an EV, and local businesses will discuss domestic uses of renewable energy, such as solar power, for EV charging. No test drives will be conducted on-site. The various benefits of other electric technologies, such as chainsaws and lawnmowers, will also be addressed.
Learn from residents of the hilltowns of Western Massachusetts who are escaping a dependence on fossil fuel by driving electric. Meet individuals who charge their EVs with solar power. The public is welcome. The event will take place at Charlemont Park & Ride at 24 Mohawk Trail in Charlemont near the Rte 112/Rte 2 cloverleaf.
NOTE: The Park & Ride Lot is about a mile west of Shelburne Falls Village Center – home of Glacial Potholes and the Bridge of Flowers.
