Event Report
Our Drive Electric Kitsap event was in the opinion of the organizing volunteers a terrific success. We estimate we had more than 400 people participate, four car dealers with five cars were there, and seventeen official owner / volunteer cars were on display. We also had a local electric bike dealer, BI Cycles, there with four bikes offering test rides. Kitsap Transit brought a new full size all electric bus which drew a lot of interest, and helped make the event highly visible. Our event was at a local Fire-station and in an adjacent church parking lot which was a virtually perfect site. Having a live band really enhanced the feel that this was a fun and interesting electric car festival.
At the beginning of the event we had a meeting in the Fire-station with expert speakers and public officials which was standing room only with 110 people attending.
The local car dealers present and helping sponsor the event were: University VW/Audi (VW eGolf , Audi e tron); Tesla of Seattle (Tesla 3); Advantage Nissan (Nissan Leaf); and West Hills Auto Dealers (Ford Bolt).
