Josh Denton, City Councilor and event Co Captain and Jessica Wilcox, Granite State Clean Cities Coordinator plugging in the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services EV to a EV Launchpad DC fast charging station in Historic downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Josh, gave a speech about how as part of the city's sustainability master plan that he would like to install more fast charging stations in the downtown to help attract more tourists driving EVs. Jessica spoke about how Portsmouth businesses were very successful in supporting the "Destination Electric", a campaign from Drive Change, Drive Electric to promote businesses located close to charging stations. James Penfold from EV Launchpad, a locally based charging station company, added that EV drivers typically seek out destinations with charging that they may have otherwise passed over and they dwell more time while topping off their vehicles that is a win for the drivers and local businesses!

Event Description

Join us at the 3rd Annual Portsmouth Drive Electric celebration!

There will be a variety of popular electric vehicles on display along with EV owners and staff that will be handing out informational material and other resources, answering questions, and encouraging attendees to consider going electric.

According to local emissions assessments, over 50% of our regional climate changing GreenHouse Gas Emissions come from vehicles. Battery Electric Vehicles offer an immediate elimination of driving emissions and obtain on average, the equivalent of over 100MPG! They have significantly reduced parts versus gas powered cars so they are more reliable and cost less to own.

Did we mention that with instant acceleration, they have the performance of a sports car and plain fun to drive?

We invite you to learn in a zero pressure setting why we are so excited about the many benefits of the future of driving, including contributing to saving the planet.

Please bring your family to join us for a great educational day!
