SUNY New Paltz is hosting the
2nd Annual Zero Emissions Parade
(sponsored by Central Hudson Gas and Electric, New
Paltz Climate Smart and the New Paltz Climate Action Coalition). to celebrate National Drive Electric Week and the ongoing transition
away from fossil fuels towards a clean energy society. Community
members are invited to bike, skateboard, walk, or drive an electric
vehicle in
the parade. Join up with the parade on Saturday, September 21 at one of these locations:
2:30 PM - EVs gather at Tops Plaza
3:00 PM - EVs leave Tops Plaza and drive together down Main Street to SUNY New Paltz West Parking Lot 40 just south of the Athletics and Wellness Center
3:30 PM - EVs, bicycles, skateboarders, and pedestrians leave West Parking Lot (just south of the Athletics and Wellness Center) and begin traveling to the Atrium
4:00 PM - Grand culmination of EV Parade (and the Climate Solutions Summit) and Green Vendor Fair at the traffic circle in front of the Atrium and Haggerty Administration Building.
At 4 PM, you'll have the opportunity to meet EV car owners, test-drive electric vehicles, and eat vegan brownies!
