Event ReportOn September 14, 2019, a group of electric vehicle owners had a display at the Iowa City Farmer's Market and EV's for people to see and learn from the owners. We also set up an awning and had materials from Drive Electric Week to give out. Electric cars included Teslas, Chevy Volts, Nissan LEAFs, a Chevy Spark and a Chrysler Pacifica. Our display was in a strategic location so most of those attending the farmer's market saw the materials and vehicles. Many people stopped by to look at the cars and talk to the owners. People at the display included a former GM engineer who was able to answer questions with in-depth information and technical knowledge. Several organizations cooperated with us to publicize the event and provide assistance, such as allowing us to use their awning, table and chairs. They included 100Grannies for a Livable Future, the local Sierra Club, the city of Iowa City and Iowa City's Prairie Hill Cohousing.
