Event Report
Drive Electric Columbia partnered with a local, weekly festival that regularly draws a couple thousand members of the general public to Main St.. Craft vendors, food trucks and buskers fill the sidewalks each Saturday morning. By partnering with an existing event, we are able to significantly reduce our marketing spend and only focus on incrementally increasing attendance by advertising to car fans who would otherwise not attend Soda City. Local EV and plug-in hybrid owners are encouraged to register and display their car or offer rides to the public.Dealers are invited to sponsor the event ($250 standard sponsorship and $2,500 for prime sponsorship). They display a car(s), a tent and can offer test rides, if they choose to do so. Funds are applied to marketing, hats for volunteers, insurance, PA equipment rental and the remainder is donated to local charities and non-profits.

Come to Columbia's 6th annual Drive Electric Week Event Saturday, September 21, 2019 on Main St and Hampton St, Columbia, SC 29201 from 9am - 1pm.

have plug-in cars including Jaguar i-Pace, BMW i3, Tesla Model S, 3, X, Chevrolet Bolt and Volt, Audi e-Tron, Nissan LEAF, and many
others. Private car owners will share their experiences and show their
cars. Dealers will have brand new plug-ins available for your review!
Plus, this year's event being adjacent to Soda City Market means many lunch options will be available. Again this year, all proceeds from sponsorships will go to local charities, so come and join us for a kid
friendly, educational, community event.
