Event ReportThe event was over two days and tied to a college football game on Friday night and a driver meet-up and ride & drive on Saturday. We had 13 vehicles on display outside the BB&T Field at Wake Forest University prior to their Friday night game against UNC Chapel Hill. The Greensboro Police brought over their two new ZERO electric motorcycles. As the OEMs bring more and more plug-in vehicles to market, our vehicle display set keeps on growing. Vehicles included were the Jaguar I-PACE, Tesla Model X, Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, Cooper Countryman Plug-In Hybrid, Toyota Prius Prime, Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid, BMW e 530 Plug-In Hybrid, BMW e 330 Plug-In Hybrid and two ZERO DSVP Motorcycles. Official game attendance was 31, 345. Vehicles were staged in the fan zone by the band, cheerleaders and dancers at the field house stadium entrance and received great exposure. Several thousand people passed by with the onsite staff of seven electric vehicle experts interacting with an estimated 500 interested fans. There were two big screen in stadium advertisements for NDEW announced during the game, as well as a radio interview with Rick Sapienza, Director of the NC Clean Energy Technology Center. Overall the event was a lot of fun and a great success.
