Event Report
Our most successful event yet. Our 21 parking spaces were filled at one point and the additional car(s) had to wait for someone to leave. A blocked off part off our lot was dedicated to a Pedego electric bike dealer who brought a half dozen bikes for test rides, which was popular. No dealers were invited, which was appreciated, although that meant no test drives. One Tesla owner was given a place for his tent & table to promote his solar PV business, for which I charged a nominal $100 fee. At the peak of the event (all spaces occupied), I shot a 6-minute video, which I posted to www.GoldenREblog.com. Or here's a direct link to the YouTube video.One thing I did this year that I hadn't done before was to create letter-size flyers describing the car, the electric miles driven, and the name of the owner. In the video you can spot them taped to each car's windshield. I can provide the template in MS Publisher, but it's not very hard to recreate! This way I was also able to identify the six no-shows.
I also set up a 6-foot table with "FREE STUFF" on the left and "EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS" on the right and am pleased that ALL the swag from Nissan (except some of the pens and most of the Nissan stickers) were taken, including the left-over swag from last year! Also, about half the literature provided disappeared, along with a flyer about our Net Zero Energy real estate office.

Come see 20 or more electric cars representing the most currently available brands and models. Owners will be there to answer your questions. A dealer in electric bicycles will also be there, offering test rides of electric bicycles.
