Event Report
Charge Up LA! 2019 Recap
There were over 2,000 people who registered to attend the event which made this year’s Charge Up LA! bigger and better than last year. The event hosted 10 different auto manufacturers—new this year were Jaguar, Kia and Porsche. With 11 different models to drive and 23 cars available to drive, we saw over 900 test drives.
The event also boasted 20 exhibitors with information about available EV rebates and incentives, car chargers, EV ride sharing and many other sustainability-related products and services.
We had representatives from LADWP, SCE, Senator Fran Pavley and the State Treasurer, Fiona Ma speaking about the benefits of EVs and the role they play now and in our future.
Great “EV101” workshops were available on the stage throughout the day. We had some amazing raffle prizes too—tickets to the LA Auto Show, Tesla overnight test drive packages, car care products and EV themed T-shirts.
A surprise visit from KTLA became a wonderful piece about the event shown on air later that day.
We’re looking forward to Charge Up LA! 2020 and bringing even more manufactures and cars to drive. Mark your calendars for the end of September 2020!
