Event Report

The event was closed early for security purposes due to a visit from the President of Poland.

The Northeast Nissan Rep. Jason and Crowley Nissan Rep. Dana conducted hands-on demonstration and test drives to all interested attendees.

The Tesla Owners Club of CT. was a big hit with everybody. The Hyundai Kona EV was also very popular.

Professor Charles E. Button was in attendance and his help organizing the events every year for the past 8 events is commendable.

I offer my sincere apologies to anybody that missed our event due to the early closing and a heartfelt thank you to all of the vehicle owners and attendees.

Please keep our CCSU location in mind for the 2020 NDEW as we will celebrate our 9th consecutive year.

Event Description

The 8th annual electric vehicle gathering and reunion event.

Come help us retain our spot in history as the longest continuously running venue in the history of NDEW on Sunday, September 22, at the CCSU charging stations (parking lot behind Student Center).

Crowley Nissan will have Nissan Leaf information and a new Nissan Leaf available for test drives 12:00 - 4:00.

Tesla Owners Club of Connecticut is planning to met up at CCSU during our event.

Tesla Owners Club of Connecticut has plans to have their monthly met up at CCSU during our event and everybody is welcome to attend.

Have an Electric Vehicle (or Plug-in)?  Bring your EV/Plug-In to the event to show it off and answer questions.  The charging station will be available to recharge while you're there!

Want to learn more about owning an EV/Plug-In?  Come visit and ask real owners about their experiences.

In all cases, we encourage you to register to attend to help us better plan the event.

We plan to meet from 12:00 - 4:00.

Directions to CCSU: On Route 9 North, take exit 29 and through the light at end of ramp.  Drive approx. 1/4 mile and take 2nd traffic light left onto Ella Grasso Blvd.  Continue to back entrance to Student Center and Charging Stations and follow signs.

On Route 9 South, take exit 29 and right at end of ramp onto Ella Grasso Blvd.  Continue to back entrance to Student Center and Charging Stations and follow signs.  Three Level 2 chargers onsite and in the vehicle display area.
