Event ReportDrive Electric Day SA 2019 was a huge success, thanks to the dozens of electric vehicle drivers and enthusiasts who showed up to share their passion with the public. The venue this year was different than in previous years, with much more space available for EV displays than in years past. The Mayor Pro-Tem of Balcones Heights (the city in which the EVent was held), Lamar Gillian, gave opening remarks, welcomed everybody, and offered his own positive EV experience to share.

Are you curious about electric vehicles? Maybe you're an electric vehicle skeptic. You might have heard lots of things about electric vehicles, but never actually met an owner of one, let alone had the chance to ride in one. If this sounds familiar, then this is the perfect event for you!
Drive Electric Day is a fun-filled, yet informative event that gives the community a chance to interact with local electric vehicle (EV) owners and engage them about their EV experience. Some owners may even let you in their passenger seat to see an EV in action up close! Drive Electric Day San Antonio is one of over 200 National Drive Electric Week events happening across the country in September, intended to highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid EVs.
Admission to the event is free and will include music and feature vendors from the City of San Antonio, CPS Energy, Bexar County, the Alamo Area Council of Governments, and more!
Wonderland of the Americas is located off Fredericksburg Road, near I-10 and Loop 410 (4522 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78201). Drive Electric Day San Antonio will be in the parking lot between Target and Burlington.
