Event Description
Jacksonville Celebrates National Drive Electric Week (Sept. 18, THURS, 5:30PM to 7:30PM)
What started last year as a small gathering of enthusiastic folks has now blossomed into a bigger and better event. We will have a fun-filled event on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Whole Foods' parking lot in Mandarin. Sponsors of our local event in Jacksonville this year include JEA and the North Florida Clean Fuels Coalition, and Whole Foods. We plan to have:
Information exchange with
current EV drivers - meet
electric vehicle owners directly and hear about their driving experiences, fuel
bills, utility bill, battery life, reducing their carbon footprint etc.
Ride & Drives – Electric car dealers (BMW, Nissan, Cadillac, Chevrolet and others), other vendors and electric car owners will be present to give you chance to see how it feels to drive one.
Charging station demos – we’ll have Chargepoint charging stations so you can experience how easy to charge a car.
Industry experts and vendors – you will have the opportunity to talk to experts and stakeholders regarding public charging infrastructure, electric usage, renewable energy programs, incentives etc. etc.
Snacks and beverages – there will be snacks and beverages served so bring your family....
This event is free and open to everyone.
